Spellbinders Hexagon Card Holder Gift Boxes, HMFMC157

Eeeekkk!!  I'm so embarrassingly late with this House-Mouse & Friends MC Midway challenge reminder. BUT... it's my great hope that you will somehow forgive me once you see how time intensive this little project was and the special prize I have to offer if you play too!  :)  Our Teamie, Natascha, set the challenge theme for * Anything BUT a card *  Which means, you can create anything at all - whatever crafty little thing your heart desires - as long as it is NOT a card and it features a House-Mouse.

I decided to CREATE 6 Hexagon Top Box Gift Card Holders featuring our favorite House-Mouse Designs Characters .  This is what one of the finished projects looks like. First one features Maxwell's Winter Footprints

This is how this Spellbinders Hexagon box opens up

Here is what it looks like once the the card is out of the box

This is the sponged box interior

The back of the box is also decorated

This is what that back looks like when it is closed

And lastly, here is the decorated mini hexagon card for the giftbox
Whew!! Loads of work to get there, but aren't these mini cards adorable? Though time intensive (due to individually stamping, and coloring and sponging and dry embossing and die-cutting all the pieces), but they were super easy to make.

I couldnt possibly STOP at one. I still had more themed Mousey stamps in the set that  needed a hexagon gift box for its mini card!  ha!

Here's the whole set. (simple projects, but very time intensive)
Here are the 6 Hexagon Card Holder and mini card themed CLOSE-UPS...
*Friend* with a Confetti Party

*Mudpie* has just eaten all the Cheese,

Isn't this a FUN idea?  I searched online for ways to use this Spellbinders Hexagon pinwheel die and ran across a you tube video featuring one of my fave crafters; Christina Griffiths's Tutorial.  I must give her FULL CREDIT for this idea and want to thank her for inspiring me with her simple and amazing tutorial. If you'd like to try using this Spellbinders Die, that you tube link can be found HERE.
