Hello and HAPPY NEW YEAR Peeps!

Hello and welcome back to my little blog crafty friends and faithful followers.  WOW!  Can you believe it's 2014 already?  I sincerely hope you've had a wonderful Christmas Season alongside your loved ones.  I also hope that your New Year is off to a beautiful beginning in which you are blessed with good health and great joy.  :)

I want to start 2014 by looking back at 2013.  There were a few cards that I just didn't get around to posting, so here are the remaining of my WINTER cards...
The glitter Winter DP cardstock did most of the work on this first winter card. Added Silver pearls, Silver Charm, Silver Lace Ribbon, punch MS Snowflakes a Silver Snowflake Sticker
Lots of Snowflakes made with (Dies and Punches) were used for depth layers on this card. The PEACE panel was actually cut out of a $1 store recycled winter card. Silver Pearls, a Silver Snowflake Charm and sparkly ribbon finish it off.
This was a fun card to make. I paper punched the mid panel with an MS all over the page Snowflake Punch and added extra punched snowflakes (also created with Spellbinders dies and MS punches), then outlined the panel and entire card border with silver stickles and silver MS glitter. The silver mesh is twisted in center and taped behind DP then topped with a vintage silver button.
This is the heaviest card Ive ever created... not only does it have several layers of Cardstock, but it also had tons of bling.... the background "ornament look" was created with an EK Success Punch.
This are my last two of three of the LONG cards in winter themes... I used silver adhesive tape (found in hardware section and comes in various widths) and adhered it to white CS then ran it through the crimper for the background panel. I also punched out snowflakes from the same Silver adhesive tape. again dies and punches were used to created the dimensional snowflakes here. Silver pearls an silver Glitter top it off.
The Background on this last winter card was created with an All Over the Page MS Punch. The snowflakes are Spellbinder dies and MS punches and $1 store Snowflake Decor Stickers.

Whew!! Guess I was on a roll with blue tones, silver, white and bling...loads of bling. LOL!
What do you think?? These seem way too busy to me, but they sure were fun to make!

Oh, before I go, have you seen any of the sneak peeks and Hot 20 Product awards for CHA Winter 2014? (so torturous for those of us unlucky crafters that cant be there at the Craft and Hobby Association in CA) !  Anyways, what NEW products are you most excited about? For me its the new Scan N Cut machine that my sweet dear husband surprised me with at Christmas.  I have been trying to figure out how to cut my cherished HMD intricate images, but have yet to successfully do so. It's definitely a great machine for what it can do without cartridges or computers, but yours truly is struggling with cutting stamped images. Have tried many mediums (including heat embossing for heavier image outlines) in efforts to get the Scan N Cut scanner to recognize the detailed HMD stamped images, but I am finding that these adorable imprints are just too open and heavily detailed for this machine to pick up on its scanner. :( Anyone else out there having this issue on this new machine? Is it just me? Am I missing something?  Hoping to find a good resource. Have checked out many You Tube videos and following several tips on Pinterest, but still no cigar. Hhmmm. Still keeping fingers crossed.
And last but NOT least, DONT FORGET to enter the House-Mouse & Friends MC Challenge #HMFMC160 - Silver of Gold, found HERE. It's your great chance at winning fabulous prizes from the official House-Mouse Designs and, or, Joanna Sheen, Ltd.  But hurry! You ONLY have until midnight tonight to enter!  :)

Thanks for reading to the end. Hope you'll have a wonderful weekend.
Happy Crafting!
