For the Sake of the Red, White and Blue on this Memorial Day

A Patriotic card created for Military Appreciation month and Memorial Day ...

CARD RECIPE:
Paper: Lang Graphics American Flag Artwork Set (Cut up and used for all die-cut panels), (The Vintage Image and its sentiment were cut out of an old card purchased at a Goodwill and shaped with cutting dies, sponged and matted)
Paper Size: Circle is about 5 inches
Ink: Marvy Matchables Reds and Archival Brilliance Pigment Red Inks (for sponging)
Accessories: Spellbinders Grand Circles, Circles, Star Circles and Stars Dies, Square Punch used for banner
Techniques: Sponging, Layering

Being married to a Soldier in the US Army and being a US ARMY Vet myself, I just had to make time to create for today's wonderful MMTPT303 Challenge over as SCS - Splitcoaststampers.com - to show my support for the Military.

This image is sad, but it captures the sense of pride our soldiers fee - when we must say farewell. The sentiment was taken from the same vintage card with the image that I found at a thrift store. I cut out the pats I wanted to use with my diecuts and sponged them. The Sentiment reads:
"As a lover, he bade farewell to his sweetheart for the sake of the Red, White and Blue, and went forth to take his part when the proper time was due"....

May is Military Appreciation Month. Check out this great Patriotic VIDEO paying tribute to the ed, White and Blue:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=WAiTUpeSKxY

Please remember to thank a Soldier or Vet this coming weekend. This will make a great card for Military friends in our community (whose spouses are/have deployed, and whom are counting the days 'til they are together again). May God Bless Bless our Troops!
