HAPPY 2016!!
I hope your New Year is off to a great start! Welcome back to my little Blog! So happy you are here to help me start my exciting journey as a Creative Expressions Design Team Member! I absolutely love their products and Im also a huge fan of CE's fabulous Craft Dies by Sue Wilson, so hoping this journey will be loads of FUN. My new CEDT projects will post on Saturdays. Hope you will stop by! Here is my very first DT project saying "HELLO"!
"Hello" Card Recipe
Stamps: NONE
Ink: NONE
Ink: NONE
Papers: White CS, Black CS and DP (Designer Paper)
Techniques: Layering, assembling
Step-by-Step on how this "HELLO" Card was made;
After cutting your background panel, emboss and matt on black Cardstock to look like this;
Now add to your White Card Base and adhere as shown
Next make your cuts. First I cut the Classic Fold-over Flowers out of the stripes of gold and white on the DP and also cut the "Hello" word out of the same DP
For the "Hello" word, I placed the die directly over the GOLD stripped part of DP to cut - to highlight the expression.
These are the cut-out Flower strips, the four Hello cuts (I've layered the Hello panels 4x), off-setting the last panel in black to give it depth and a shadow effect. Also cut three extra fold-over strips in Black, Gold and White to line-up and added these as accents behind the "Hello" Panel.
Next step was to fold-over the flower strips, adhering tips of edges with wet glue and rolling each strip into flowers as shown. After rolling, press and spread petals to create lovely shaped flowers.
I also like to add extra glue to the bottom of my rolled flowers to securely hold in place.
Next adhere your shaped flowers to your card front as desired and add flourish pearl gems.That's it! Easy as pie, right? The hardest part was coming up with the idea. LOL! Assembling the flowers took a little bit, but even that was fast and easy! Such FUN! I hope you will give these great Creative Expressions products a try! :)
Here is the same card done again - but in a "THANK YOU" theme to say "THANKS" to Creative Expressions and to all of you wonderful followers for all your wonderful support! The only changes are the Expressions "Thanks" Die and the Floral Stripes embossed background.
What do you think?

Hi America,
ReplyDeletewhat a great name! I love your designs, and look forward to seeing more of them.
I'm not one of the above cats from the design team, just a very enthusiastic crafter.
Also a fan of Sue Wilson's and her dies and embossing folders and sometimes I shamelessly adopt her ideas.
