Celebrate America!

Hello crafters and welcome back to my blog! I have a fun Patriotic card to share for my post at the Dies R US! Inspirational Blog!

To my American Friends, I hope you had a super Happy Fourth of July celebrating our Country's Independence Day! To my Friends around the Globe; Independence Day is Federal Holiday in the United States of America, commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776. Our Country's Celebrations include Fireworks, Friends, Family Reunions, Concerts, Barbecues, Picnics, Parades, baseball games, All-American Food, Entertainment, Honoring our Military... and it's also my Birthday! ... Definitely my Fave Holiday! :)

Steps to recreate this fun card
First die-cut all cuts as shown

Next, create white card base and adhere panels beginning with the Red Cardstock panel, then the layered cuts as shown.

At this point, add ribbons across panels, adhere to back and place over card base.

Now stamp the Patriotic sentiment and die-cut with the Spellbinders Wonky Rectangles.

Line up all cuts as shown and adhere eat shape layering as shown for dimension.

After all panel cuts are adhered in place, adhere the layered soldier and add some of the extra stars scattered around the card. (these stars were left over from silver FS Star Card Panel cuts).

At this point, add a big bow and top off with a star embellishment to finish card. Any extra cuts can be added to the inside of the card to continue the theme.

That's it! Hope you will give these awesome cutting dies a try! :)

  12. First of all, Happy belated Birthday! When I came to your blog, I wondered if your name was America and then I read that July 4th is your birthday, which instantly confirmed it for me. My birthday is July 3rd and my mum always told me that if I had waited till the 4th, my name would have been Sam! LOL But I digress... Your card is spectacular, which is what this holiday is all about! I love the background die and every other detail really. :D Thank you so much for playing with us at Retro Rubber and hope you will join us again very soon.
