Thank you to all who played along on last week's ODBD Challenge. We loved seeing your creations and hope you will join us again this week because it's time for another ODBD Shining The Light Challenge! It's February, a month when we acknowledge national hero’s with (President’s day) or people who are special to us with (Valentine’s Day). So, we are going to acknowledge and CASE (copy and share everything), a papercrafter we admire or a creation we admire changing at least two elements to make it our very own.
To make this challenge more fun, ODBD is giving out a $15 gift certificate toward stamps at Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for this prize must be submitted by Thursday, February 25. One random winner will be chosen & announced next Saturday. While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images/sentiments on your creations, we love to see them if you have them. :)
To recognize those who use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will abe choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use ODBD stamps & have your submission added to Mr. Linky by February 25th at 8 p.m. EST.
If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC3. When creating your blog-posts please include a link to the Shining The Light ODBD challenge HERE.
HERE is my CARD:
CARD RECIPE:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs Sing For Joy & You Will Find Refuge
Paper: White CC, Red CS
Ink: Red Briliance, Red StazOn, Copics (for outlining bird)
Accessories: Pearls, Spellbinders, Cuttlebug Embossing Folders
Techniques: Dry Embossing, Sponging
I admire many Card Artists, but there is one special cardmaker out here - Julie - AKA: JustWriteDesigns, whom I've been wanting to CASE since she was SCS's Featured Stamper a while back, so this was my chance. :) I chose this gorgeously dramatic elegant card of hers to CASE. I attempted to capture even just a little bit of that beauty with my version, but ended up changing the Color, the Embossing Folders, the Pearl Placements, the Images, the Sentiment & even added sponging. So it's quite different, but the layout, techniques and general ideas are still there. :)

Thanks for Looking & Happy Creating!
