Happy Friday crafters. Hope you've been having a great week! Here to share a set of 3 Baby-Shower Gift Tags and a simple but bold Birthday Card. Both projects were created using Creative Expressions Cutting Dies by Sue Wilson!
3 Baby Shower Gift Tags
This could have easily been a card too! I chose tags to attach to the gifts and the plastic container behind here is what I packaged this trio set into!
TAGS RECIPE | |
Stamps: None | |
Paper: Yellow, Green, Blue, White CS
Ink: soft yellow dye inks (for light sponging around edges)
Accessories: Ribbon, Paper Hole Punch, CE/SW Dotted Matrix Embossing Folder, Creative Expressions cutting dies by Sue Wilson; Striplet Lotus, New Arrival - Little Treasures, and the Shadow box Collection New Arrival Dies
Techniques: Layering, Dry Embossing |
I multi-cut and layered each cut for dimension. The tags are sponged lightly with a soft yellow for added interest. The BABY word cubes were also stenciled / sponged while die was still over the cuts. These are finished-off with punched holes in various locations of tags for adding the ribbons. Below is another photo of these 3 baby tags split-up.
Would you believe that this was actually a BABY CARD originally? Yeap- it was and this is what it looked like before splitting it up to make the 3 TAGS;
A simple-but dramatic- BIRTHDAY CARD
B-DAY CARD RECIPE | ||
Stamps: None. Paper: Glossy Primary Colors, White CS.
Ink: None | ||
Accessories: Creative Expressions Cutting Dies by Sue Wilson - Perspectives - Happy, Shadow Box Collection Lattice Frame Dies (for framing)
Techniques: Layering |
I simply cut the Happy multiple times and stacked them for dimension. I used Lattice Frame rectangular cutting dies to cut out a smaller framed piece for top and separated the bottom to show the happy "floating". I liked the birthday negative on its own with the contrasting yellow behind it. Aren't these dies fun? There are so many ways to use them. Hope you will give them a try! :)
