Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot, Be Inspired #74, Creating ENVELOPES

Hello & welcome to Wednesday! It's time for BE INSPIRED #74 at Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot. This week, we are creating & decorating our very own ENVELOPES to match our beautiful card creations. We were asked to also incorporate the color *GREEN* into our creations.

Well, I dont know about you, but for me, I'm always finding it difficult to fit my dimensional/3D/bulky cards, square cards or unusually shaped cards into regular store bought envelopes. Im constantly searching for quality envelopes that will not just accommodate these cards, but that also wont tear or mess-up the artwork. I was NOT brave enough to attempt making my own envelopes until now when I was asked to do so for this challenge. LOL!! And WOW! Sure wish I had made these sooner because it was so much FUN & actually very easy! And how FAB to have matching envelopes that fit! :)

Did you know there are many templates and tutorials for creating envelopes out there in blogland? WHEW!! For mine, I was completely drawn to a particular one that was inspired by my good friend and House Mouse Team Mate, Heather of Rica's Heaven. She has come up with a wonderful, easy to follow tutorial for creating a square 6x6 envelope box template that she calls the "Envelobox"!! :) This awesome envelope will accommodate most decorated/3D/bulky cards. Once you have this base template done, it can be very easy to follow and reuse over and over again. It's simply a matter of making the final cut down to a 10x10 from a 12x12 cardstock piece, scoring, folding & glueing. That's it. Check it out! You'll be very glad you did. :)

Here's my wedding box to accommodate a wedding card: The incorporated color "Green" is on the flower's leaves! Hope that counts! :)
