Introducing 3D Vignette Mini-Albums

3D Vignettes were introduced almost 2 years ago and along the journey, our readers have begged us not to abandon the concept but to keep adding on. As always, your wish is our command! Introducing 3D Vignette Mini-Albums. When the first 3D Vignettes came out, we fashioned them into mini albums using the familiar side piece and slots but now we've made it permanent with a Universal Hinge. Plus we've added a whole collection of dies you can use inside the mini-album including two new shaped card profiles and a new Cinch and Go Cottage Bloom Flower that can be used as a dimensional flower or a flat flower inside the mini-album. Stay tuned as you see a mini-album from each Creative Team Member and card that highlights one of the dies used in the mini-album.

About 3D-Vignette Mini Albums

When the response to the first 3D Vignette cards turned into mini albums blog hop brought such a positive response, readers asked for more. Becca designed an easy to fold Universal Hinge that makes it easy to convert your 3D Vignette cards into Mini Albums. Staying true to her mix and match budget sensibility, of course, all of the elements of this new collection can be used to make flat cards, can be used with original 3D Vignette designs, and older 3D Vignette dies can be refreshed and used with the mini-albums.

Best of all, if you have ever been too overwhelmed to create a mini-album or a scrapbook page, take heart. Since your choices are mix and match, we've taken all of the guess work out. The small format is card-sized which makes it do-able for those of you accustomed to working on a small card size project. We've made albums that are tiny up to 6 x 6" and 8 x 8. Here is a pic collage of mine;

My Projects for today;
First of all, Wow what an honor and Im beyond thrilled to be joining Becca Feeken's incredible Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team! I've always been a huge fan of hers and so to be joking her team is a dream come true! Thank you for this great opportunity!

Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Dies used;

S5-408 Grand Vaulted Cabinet
S4-1029 Grateful Thankful Blessed 3D Layering
S5-409 Universal Accordion Fold Spine
S4-1025 Sweet Cottage Flowers

I've made a general "Grateful, Thankful, Blessed" themed Mini-Album. This was my very first album ever and it was so easy to do because with these gorgeous Amazing Paper Grace dies that basically guide you.

I've added special decorative pockets for tucking special little notes, photos or gift cards.

My 3D Vignette mini-album opened to show accordion side holding the decorated pages.

This pocket was created with the decorative square die from the S4-1032 3D Interactive Pivot Banner die set.

I just love the various pocket sizes that can be achieved with the gorgeous S4-1033 Woven Trellis Corners and Border dies.

Here Ive die-cut 4 of the smaller Trellis pockets and adhered in a circle for this gorgeous Lacey look. This is a fun area to tuck in mini notes into the album. The opposite side is also a pocket created with the S3-383 Doily Border die. I love how this die mirrors the gorgeous S5-406 Doily Round die.

The Flower Window die that comes with the S4-1029 Grateful Thankful Blessed 3D Layering die set is so beautifully detailed. These cuts can be done directly into the grand arch for a different look or multi-layered for 3d effects like Ive done here with textured glittered papers (Gray, White and Blue), for added dimension. Pearls added to continue the same look throughout.

I've repeated the same floral window design on the next album page, but changed out the papers (from Vellum to textured glittered gray and white cardstock) The decorative corner is on opposite side too.

Here is the back of the mini-album to showing S4-1031 Decorative Edges and Spines design that's truly a stunning finishing touch to the album. A ribbon could also be ran through this lovely spine as an option too! Ive continued the look with a line of pearls added on to the backside. This also helped to cover-up and strengthen the back spine fold.

My second project is a card that also uses some of the same Amazing Paper Grace Dies as with my mini-album to show the awesome versatility.

The Thankful sentiment was trimmed off from the S4-1029 Grateful Thankful Blessed 3D Layering Etched Dies, then adhered and multi-layered for dimension.

Using the same S4-1025 Sweet Cottage Flowers set, I created another similar flower for the card. Flower cuts are multi-layered with heavy cardstock and vellum.

Ive used the same S5-408 Grand Vaulted Cabinet dies, just like I did with the mini-album to overlay over the doily cuts. The smallest die from this Grand Cabinet set was also used to create the lovely accent pieces on the top edge.

The delicate lace element behind the Grand arch was created with the S5-406 Doily Round. The cuts are multi-layered and adhered behind the arch for added interest. Loved having a play with these fabulous dies to achieve new looks!

My patterned die-cut background was created by drawing a grid on the panel then die-cutting each section with the pretty decorative square accent die from the S4-1032 Interactive Pivot Banner Etched die set.

  36. Do you use a heavier cardstock for the mini album? I might have to try one! Lovely album!

    1. Hi & thanks for your comment/question. For this album I also used a set of file folders I no longer needed. (File folders are easy to get and are usually of a heavier weight than normal CS). The heavier weight is definitely better for the mini albums as it makes them sturdier.
