The Introducing Flourished Fretwork Blog Hop

The Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team and I are so thrilled to be able to show you the new dies that are a part of the Flourished Fretwork Collection. Hop through with all of the designers to see what they have made!

Inspiration for Flourished Fretwork
Becca wanted to make the Flourished Fretwork dies to have a very wide appeal so the dies are created to do many things. The dies were designed so that they could be layered on top of or behind so many of the dies you have in your stash. They are also designed as the central point to an A7 card but are also small enough that they can make A2 cards as well.

This collection is full of rims and the ability to create shadow layers, each die gives you several options. Whether you like an intricate layer or the solid layer, the choice is yours!

For my Project Today, I'm excited to introduce the new Amazing Paper Grace
S5-414 Sentimental Finery Die Set!

And I've created this colorful card with a matching 3D gift-box set.

What I made;
This colorful card and matching box would make a great little gift-set.

How I made it;
The Box was scored and folded into its 3D shape with the same designer paper to match. For the box, I followed template outline from a valentine chocolate box that I saved and used that as a template to trace it onto the back of this fun DCWV Gold Foil printed cardstock designer paper. I then scored along the traced lines, cut-out and folded into shape.

The Card is multi-layered for extra depth. I repeated my cuts with the inner banner type die that has small flower), to create the background. So fun to layer these cuts and find new looks by snipping-off sections of the die-cuts! Give it a try and see what you can do!

The only embellishment used; adhesive flat-back gold gems (my fave)!  These were place on the mini flower centers and strategically throughout the die-cuts. The gold foiled sentiment banner was cut-out by hand from the same DCWV designer paper pad.

What I like about these new APG dies;
They scream gorgeousness! I just love looking closely at these new sets, discovering that the more I look, the more the intricate details will spark ideas for extra elements. Snipping off portions of cuts means new looks - (like the tiny flowers that were cut-out from the center die-cut, or the corners that were cut-off the frames, like repeating die-cuts for a lovely background, etc,...), making these dies SO versatile. In fact, I didn't have to use any other die-set for these 2 projects. :)
